Why does reviewing old calculus work matter?
I usually wanted to move on as soon as I finished a calculus exercise, but later I realized my old mistakes contained useful clues. I thought about do my calculus class when I was falling behind, then decided to review previous problems instead. I noticed several mistakes came from the same misunderstanding. Fixing that one issue improved my later work. Do you ever review old mistakes before starting new topics?
